Our support mobile telephone number is 07970 930 513.

Anyone who has been affected by the death of a baby and wants to talk to someone about their experience can call this number. Most of the people who call are parents whose baby has died. Bereaved parents from Bristol Sands take it in turns to answer the mobile phone. If somebody does not answer your call immediately, please leave a message and somebody will call you back within 24 hours. Our volunteers are there to listen and give support.

We also welcome calls from:

Relatives: grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles or friends.

Health care professionals and other professionals involved with bereaved people.

Alternatively you can ring the National Sands confidential Helpline. You may want information or help in making decisions, especially in the days after your baby’s death. The experienced helpline team can offer support and will give you time and space to talk about what you want to do. The helpline team also has information about other sources of help and can put you in touch with the kind of support that is right for you.

We know it can be difficult to pick up the phone and National Sands welcomes you to email or write to them instead.
