Come and support Ava’s Easter Extravaganza on Saturday 7th April in Paulton Village Hall (BS39 7LW) between 2-4pm.
All money raised at this event will be donated to Bristol SANDS.
There will be lots of Easter related activities for children such as an Easter egg hunt, Easter bonnet competition, face painting, biscuit decorating and an Easter garden competition.
This event is being held in memory of Ava Hulbert.

May Memorial Service on Saturday 12 May 2012 at 3pm
St Bartholomews Church, Maurice Road, Bristol, BS6 5BZ (next to St Andrews Park)
This is our religious event for the year and it is kindly organised for us by the Hospital Chaplains. Starting at 3pm, the format of this service involves:-
The hospital remembrance books will be on show for you to look through at the end of the service. Afterwards refreshments will be served and our library of books will be available for you to borrow.
It will be the usual emotionally charged event but a good opportunity to spend an afternoon remembering your absent child in the company of others who fully understand your loss.
Important Note: Roll Call of Babies’ Names
During the service a “Roll Call” – i.e. a list of babies’ names and anniversary dates – will be read out. If you would like your baby’s name and anniversary date(s) included in the roll call, please email rollcall@bristolsands.org or telephone 07958 002 994. If leaving a message, please be sure to give your baby’s name clearly so that it isn’t read out incorrectly during the service. If you have a child with an unusual name, please let us know how it is pronounced, as well as the spelling.
N.B. If you don’t have time to email or ring, don’t worry as there will also be an opportunity to register your baby’s details when you arrive at the church.

Meet at 10.30 am at Scarlett’s Tearoom before heading over to Clevedon Pier for around 11.00 am
After a break last year we will once again be holding our Flower Drop from Clevedon Pier. As in previous years we will continue to meet at Scarlett’s Tearoom (opposite the entrance to the Pier) from 10.30 am before heading over to the Pier for about 11.00 am.
The Flower Drop is a short and simple secular ceremony, usually with a few short words and a poem or two. It is an opportunity to mark and remember our loved ones in the company of others who understand our loss. Should anybody have any suggestions for secular poems or readings or indeed wish to read something themselves, please do not hesitate to contact Louise Oliver before hand to discuss. Friends and family are also more than welcome to join you.
Sands will provide flowers and labels for writing your messages on the day. You are of course welcome to bring your own flowers, however for environmental reasons we do request that any messages are written on Biodegradable labels and are either self tying or are tied with a minimal amount of either Raffia or Garden Twine, in order to reduce the risk of marine life entanglement.
The Pier itself is charity run and there is a charge for entry, however, as before, Sands will cover the cost of this. Attendance numbers and entry fee will be arranged at Scarlett’s before we enter the Pier.
